Bahrain Islamic launches “Saif Plus”, a savings program compatible with Islamic Sharia

Bahrain Islamic Bank, the leading bank in providing innovative and simplified Islamic digital banking services in the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced the launch of “Saif Plus”, a new savings program compatible with the provisions of Islamic Sharia that aims to help customers plan for their financial future through regular monthly savings, periodic profits, in addition to the benefits of Takaful life insurance from the International Takaful Company.

The “Save Plus” program meets the needs of citizens and residents aged 18 years and above, whether they are young professionals, families planning for their future through medium to long-term commitments, or entrepreneurs seeking to secure stable financial reserves, thanks to flexible savings periods ranging from three to twenty years and saving through easy monthly contributions starting from 50 Bahraini dinars. Customers can also choose a plan that suits their goals, where profits are calculated and deposited directly monthly into the customer’s account, providing transparency and continuity throughout the savings period.

The program includes Takaful life insurance coverage worth up to 75,000 Bahraini dinars provided by the International Takaful Company in accordance with the terms and conditions of the policy and underwriting requirements, which enhances the level of financial security for subscribers and their families. This cooperation reflects Takaful International Company’s commitment to providing Takaful solutions that are compatible with the principles of Islamic Sharia and that meet the needs of valued customers and contribute to supporting financial stability.

The “Saif Plus” service will be fully available through banking services via the smart phone application without the need to visit a Bahrain Islamic Bank branch, in a clear embodiment of the bank’s commitment to providing convenient digital solutions that keep pace with customers’ aspirations.

Which combines savings, profit and protection, and by providing a seamless digital experience through our mobile application, we aim to make long-term financial planning easier and more convenient for everyone.”

Among the additional benefits, each “Save Plus” account will be eligible to enter periodic draws for cash prizes throughout the year 2026, where the value of the cash prize in each draw is $5,000 for each winner.
