Abu Dhabi Police strengthens community partnership with a dialogue session at the port to promote positive values

The Abu Dhabi Police General Command, represented by the Community Police Department, and in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Councils in the Office of Citizens and Community Affairs in the Presidential Office, organized a community dialogue session entitled “Community Partnership in Reducing Extraneous Behaviors,” at the Mohammed Al Falahi Al Yasi Council in Al Mirfa City, in the presence of a number of citizens and representatives of the police authorities and the “We Are All Police” initiative.

Colonel Matar Issa Al Falahi, Director of Al Mirfa Police Station, stressed the Abu Dhabi Police’s keenness to strengthen direct communication channels with community members, and to listen to their comments and suggestions, in a way that contributes to developing security services and strengthening the security and stability system, as part of its ongoing efforts to consolidate community partnership.

Major Ibrahim Shaheen Al Hammadi from the Community Police Department addressed the role of the police in raising the level of community awareness, reviewing efforts to raise awareness of electronic crimes, mechanisms for dealing with them and ways to prevent them, in addition to raising awareness of the dangers of using electric bicycles, stressing the importance of the family’s role in following up on children and promoting the safe use of modern technologies.

Major Saleh Al Hammadi from the Anti-Narcotics Department in Al Dhafra Region spoke about the role of parents in protecting children from the dangers of drugs, stressing the importance of early awareness and continuous family follow-up in preventing this scourge.

At the conclusion of the session, Abu Dhabi Police stressed the importance of integrating efforts between the concerned authorities and community members, and enhancing awareness of positive behaviors, which contributes to preventing crime, reducing negative behaviors, and consolidating the foundations of security and stability in society.
