المملكة: Urgent: Jeddah Port Customs thwarts the smuggling of 29 kilograms of cocaine

Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority "Zatka" In the Jeddah Islamic Port, an attempt to smuggle 29.1 kilograms of a substance was thwarted "Cocaine"It was found hidden in one of the containers coming into the Kingdom through the port.
The official spokesman for "Zatka" Hamoud Al-Harbi said that when one of the containers was subjected to customs procedures and was inspected using security techniques and live means, this quantity of "Cocaine" Hidden in the air conditioning device of the container.

The official spokesman confirmed that the Authority, through all its customs ports, continues to tighten customs control over the Kingdom’s imports and exports, and stands on the lookout for attempts by smugglers, in order to achieve the most prominent pillars of its strategy of enhancing the security and protection of society, by reducing attempts to smuggle such pests and other prohibited items in coordination and cooperation with its partners in the Directorate. Al-Harbi called on everyone to contribute to combating smuggling to protect society and the national economy by communicating with the Authority on the number designated for security reports (1910) or via e-mail (1910@zatca.gov.sa) and the international number (009661910). Through these channels, the Authority receives reports related to smuggling crimes and violations of the provisions of the Unified Customs System, with complete confidentiality, with a financial reward.
