Because of a “suspicious object”… the route of Trump’s motorcade in Florida was changed

US President Donald Trump’s motorcade took a different route than usual to the airport while leaving Florida yesterday, due to a “suspicious object,” according to what the White House announced.

The object, which the White House did not describe, was discovered during security sweeps that preceded Trump’s arrival at Palm Beach International Airport.

White House press secretary Carolyn Leavitt said in a statement: “The matter required further investigation, and the route of the presidential motorcade was modified accordingly.”

When reporters asked him about the expulsion, the president said: “I don’t know anything about it.”

Trump left his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida, at around 6:20 p.m. for a drive that took about 10 minutes to the airport, but he took a circular route around the city to get there.

During the trip, police officers on motorcycles created a moving blockade of the motorcade, and at one point almost collided with the pickup trucks accompanying Trump.

The presidential plane, Air Force One, was parked on the opposite side of the airport from its usual location, and the lights outside the plane were off.

US Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said that taking the secondary route was taken only as a precaution and that “this is standard protocol.”
