Abu Dhabi..Stop rent increases until further notice in new and existing contracts

The Abu Dhabi Real Estate Center, the body responsible for regulating the real estate sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, announced that it will stop increasing rental contracts in general until further notice, in accordance with the established systems and procedures.

In a response from the support team to customers, the center confirmed that “no increase can be applied to lease contracts, whether when concluding new contracts, or when renewing existing contracts.”

He added, “In all cases, the last rental value contained in the previous contract will be calculated, and it is not permitted to raise the rental value.”
