Graduation of the third batch of the program "Government auditor" At the Dubai Financial Supervision Authority

DUBAI, 12 JANUARY / WAM / The Dubai Financial Audit Authority, in cooperation with the Mohammed bin Rashid College of Government, celebrated the graduation of the third batch of the “Government Auditor” program, which includes 22 citizens representing 13 entities in the Dubai government.

The program aims to prepare and qualify national cadres capable of carrying out audit tasks efficiently and professionally, in a way that enhances the governance and transparency system of government agencies subject to the agency’s jurisdiction, and contributes to achieving its strategic objectives.

The program was implemented in two phases, the first phase was devoted to academic education, and included teaching 29 topics, including the use of artificial intelligence in auditing, international auditing standards, the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS), applicable legislation, financial analysis of financial statements, in addition to corporate risk management and governance of government agencies in the Emirate of Dubai. The scientific material was presented by a group of academics and financial experts from several entities.

As for the second stage, it included practical application, where the trainees participated in actual auditing tasks, while employing the knowledge acquired during the first stage and learning through field practice under the supervision of specialized experts in auditing from the Financial Audit Authority. This methodology of gradual training enabled the participants to acquire advanced knowledge and practical skills that enhance their readiness to practice audit work efficiently and in accordance with international best practices.

His Excellency Abdul Rahman Al Hareb, Director General of the Dubai Financial Audit Authority, said on this occasion that the graduation of the third batch of the government auditor program is an extension of the permanent commitment to building a solid regulatory system based on qualified national competencies.

He pointed out the keenness to provide participants with scientific tools and professional practices that enable them to carry out their tasks with high efficiency, and to consolidate the principles of integrity and governance in government agencies, in line with the directions of the Dubai government in strengthening the supervisory work system and governance principles.

His Excellency appreciated the cooperation with the Mohammed bin Rashid College of Government, which played a pivotal role in providing a training environment capable of refining the skills of participants and preparing them to undertake more advanced oversight tasks. He expressed his confidence that the graduates of this program will represent a qualitative addition to government agencies, and will continue to support the regulatory climate in government agencies in the Emirate of Dubai.

For his part, His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, CEO of the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government, congratulated the graduates of the third batch of the “Government Auditor” program, stressing that this step is in line with the vision of the wise leadership in developing the Emirati human capital, and empowering national competencies to lead the process of sustainable institutional excellence, considering the human being the basic pillar for building a government system that is more efficient, flexible, and capable of keeping pace with future changes.

He added that the strategic partnership with the Dubai Financial Audit Authority represents an advanced model for the integration of government efforts aimed at consolidating the principles of transparency and good governance, pointing out the college’s keenness through the program to integrate academic knowledge with practical application, and to provide national cadres with the latest auditing tools based on international standards and artificial intelligence techniques, which contributes to protecting national gains and supporting financial decision-making, and enhances the efficiency and flexibility of the government work system in line with the future directions of the Dubai government.
