Season 12 competitions continue "Cumshot"

ABU DHABI, 14th January, 2017 (WAM) – Poets Musa Mohammed Butti Al Qubaisi, from the United Arab Emirates, and Walid Al Fuhaih, from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, have reserved their seats on the list of 12, after obtaining 48 marks out of 50, in the competitions of the twelfth season of the “Million Poet” program, which is produced by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, and broadcast live from the Al Raha Beach Theater on the “Abu Dhabi” and “Baynouna” channels.

The poet Amer Al-Aydhi from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia received the qualification card for the same stage, after obtaining 90 degrees from the sum of the public vote and the jury’s scores.

Yesterday evening, the last evening of the second stage (stage 24) witnessed a strong competition in which six poets presented their poems before the judging committee consisting of Dr. Sultan Al-Amimi, Dr. Ghassan Al-Hassan, and the poet Hamad Al-Saeed, before moving on to the “Second Criterion Challenge,” which required poets to write three verses with one meter and a precise internal rhyming system.

In addition to the two qualified poets, three poets received 47 degrees: Hamad Muhya Al-Aibani from Kuwait, Hamad Al-Mushayali, and Abdul Rahman Al-Qaws from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, while the Saudi poet Awadah Al-Ghamdi received 46 degrees. The four poets await a week of public voting, so that the contract of the 12 poets will be completed with one of them emerging at the beginning of the next episode.

The twelfth episode competitions took place in the presence of His Excellency Mohammed Jumaa Al Mansouri, Executive Director of the Support Services Sector at the Authority, members of the Advisory Committee Badr Safouq and Turki Al Muraikhi, and a group of specialists, interested people, and fans of Nabati poetry.
