“Saqr for Charitable and Humanitarian Work” prepares packages for the “Saqr Humanitarian Ship” to support Gaza

In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and with the follow-up and presence of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works, and in cooperation with Operation “The Gallant Knight 3”, the Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works, today, began the work of preparing relief packages for the “Saqr Humanitarian Ship” at the Ras Al Khaimah Exhibition Center. (Expo), in preparation for loading it onto the ship at a later stage, in preparation for its departure to the port of Al-Arish in the Arab Republic of Egypt, in support of the brothers in the Gaza Strip.

The packages being prepared include food, health, and shelter materials, in addition to medical materials, within a total load estimated at about 4,000 tons of humanitarian and relief aid, within the framework of the integrated UAE humanitarian work system aimed at alleviating the suffering of civilians in the Gaza Strip, and meeting the needs of the most affected groups, especially children, women, and the elderly.

The preparation work witnessed a wide participation of volunteers from various segments of society, including citizens and residents, who contributed to packing and preparing relief packages, in a practical embodiment of the spirit of community solidarity and human cohesion that characterizes UAE society.

This step comes within the established humanitarian approach of the United Arab Emirates, and the keenness of its wise leadership to continue supporting the brotherly Palestinian people in light of the difficult humanitarian conditions witnessed in the Strip, and a translation of the values ​​of solidarity and giving that constitute a basic pillar of the state’s humanitarian policy.

The Falcon Humanitarian Ship embodies the integration of national efforts within Operation Gallant Knight 3, and reflects the pioneering role of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah in supporting the UAE’s humanitarian initiatives and consolidating its effective presence in the fields of relief and humanitarian work at the regional and international levels.
