المملكة: King Abdulaziz University concludes the modeling hackathon in partnership with the Ministry of Transport
King Abdulaziz University Modeling Hackathon activities, organized in cooperation with Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services, yesterday, Wednesday, January 14, 2026 AD, at King Faisal Convention Center, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport for Digital Transformation and the Future of Transport, His Excellency Engineer Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Ghannam, and the Vice President of the University for Business and Knowledge Creativity, Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Amoudi.
The hackathon witnessed the establishment of an accompanying exhibition, during which the participating teams reviewed their innovative projects and models within an open interactive space, which contributed to enhancing the exchange of knowledge and building relationships between participants and relevant parties.
Honoring partners and sponsors
At the conclusion of the event, the partners, sponsors, and winning teams in the four hackathon tracks were honored, following the stages of presentation, evaluation, and judging, where prizes were given to the best eight innovative projects.
Results of the tracks
The results of the tracks were as follows:
- Health track: first place, Athar team, and second place, heilungband team.
- Security track. And safety: first place is the SafeBand team, and second place is the FLARE team.
- Transportation and vehicles track: first place is the Afaq team, and second place is the gyroguard team.
- Innovative solutions track: first place is the EcoMotion team, and second place is the MeshLink team.
Creative skills
It is noteworthy that the modeling hackathon witnessed the participation of 120 male and female contestants, They were divided into 28 teams from various Saudi universities, and aimed to link academic knowledge with practical application, develop the technical and creative skills of the participants, in addition to providing the opportunity to present their ideas to investors and relevant authorities, thus contributing to supporting the national innovation system.
