Sanaa Bint Suhail: The vision of the wise leadership places the family at the heart of the development process

DUBAI, 15 JANUARY / WAM / Her Excellency Sana bint Mohammed Suhail, Minister of Family, described the Dubai International Forum for Project Management, at its eleventh session 2026, as a strategic platform that brings together minds that not only manage projects, but also contribute directly to shaping the features of life in cities and communities.
Her Excellency explained in her speech during the eleventh session of the forum that the slogan of the forum this year, “Convergence of Communities,” deeply intersects with the mission of the Ministry of Family and highlights the importance of designing projects around people and families, pointing out that projects are not just infrastructure and timetables, but rather tools to enhance family cohesion and develop society in a sustainable manner.
She stressed that the vision of the wise leadership places the family at the heart of the development process, so projects must reflect this vision to serve different age groups, from infants and children to adolescents and youth, all the way to senior citizens and people of determination.
She pointed out that the Ministry works in partnership with government and private agencies to develop practical solutions that create a daily environment supportive of the family, and instil positive behaviors that enhance stability and family interaction, in line with the state’s development goals.
Her Excellency Sana bint Mohammed Suhail said: “When we talk about infrastructure projects, we often focus on timetables, budgets, operational efficiency, and technologies, but the reality is that these projects play a pivotal role in reshaping the patterns of daily life: how we move, where we live, how we raise our children, and when we feel that starting a family is a possible and sustainable option. Therefore, integrated planning for infrastructure projects constitutes one of the main foundations for improving the quality of life.”
The Minister of Family added that studies issued by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development indicate that improving access to transportation and basic services is associated with higher indicators of family satisfaction and social cohesion by between 20% and 30% in major cities. This simply means that when we improve planning, we reduce pressure and give the family better time and quality of life.
At the conclusion of her speech, Her Excellency Sana bint Mohammed Suhail expressed her thanks and appreciation to the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai and all the organizing partners for inviting the Ministry of Family to participate in this important event, which places project management at the heart of human development.
