Details: The Minister of Energy and his Moroccan counterpart sign an executive program for cooperation
His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz , in Riyadh, held a meeting with the Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development of the Kingdom of Morocco, Leila Benali, during which they discussed issues of common interest between the two countries, and enhancing investment and cooperation opportunities in the fields of , and energy efficiency.
After the meeting, the two sides signed an executive program for cooperation in the field of Renewable energy and enabling companies to implement projects between the government of the Kingdom and the government of the Kingdom of Morocco, within the framework of the memorandum of understanding concluded between the two sides in the field of energy in May 2022.
Renewable energy
The executive program aims to strengthen the partnership between the two countries, increase mutual investments to develop cooperation in renewable energy projects in the two countries and in other countries, and enable national companies to cooperate in implementing projects in renewable energy, energy storage systems, connecting renewable energy to the grid, and transmission lines. electricity, and strengthening the electrical network.
The program also includes aspects of using renewable energy sources in development and infrastructure projects, implementing projects that are developed and operated with renewable energy sources, in addition to establishing and developing centers for research and development of technologies related to renewable energy, training, and capacity building to support sustainability and knowledge transfer.
