Australia warns of floods and fires after a flash flood that swept away a number of cars

Australian emergency services on Friday alerted residents to the need to prepare for sudden heavy rains and dangerous forest fires in the east of the country, after FloodSuddening cars into the sea.
The heavy rains that fell on Thursday caused torrential torrents to flow in some areas of the eastern state of Victoria, which is still fighting ten large forest fires.

The state’s meteorological service reported that the amount of precipitation at one point reached 186 millimeters during the past 24 hours until Friday morning, which is a record. Most of this rain fell on Thursday.
Emergency management official Tim Weybush told reporters: "We’ve seen extreme to extreme heatwaves, catastrophic wildfires, and now massive flash flooding in the southwest of the state".
Officials reported that the flash flood led to the cutting off of a main road in the state, forcing about 300 people to hastily leave camps where they were spending their vacation in travel trailers. One child was injured and was taken by air to the hospital.
Some of them narrated that the rise in water levels took them by surprise. "It rose suddenly" and"Lightning fast".
