The first meeting of the Board of Directors of the Eastern Chamber in its twentieth session, which was held today, Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the headquarters The Chamber announced the election of Fahd Al-Farraj as Chairman of the Board of Directors, Hamad Al-Khalidi as First Vice-Chairman, and Mohammed Al-Majdouie as Second Vice-Chairman.
After the meeting, the Chairman of the Board of Directors confirmed Asharqia ChamberFahd Al-Farraj said that the new Board of Directors is determined to continue the Chamber’s journey by actively contributing to achieving sustainable economic development in the Eastern Region, and strengthening its position as a role model in caring for the business sector, by providing innovative services that meet the aspirations of the business sector and contribute to expanding its participation in the national economy.
Supporting the objectives of Vision 2030
He explained that the Asharqia Chamber continues to support the objectives of Vision 2030 and enhance economic and development paths. For the business sector, and to work as an effective platform to enhance communication channels locally and internationally, contribute to providing an economic environment that is attractive and stimulating for investment, and empower economic establishments of various sizes and activities in all governorates of the region.
Al-Farraj indicated that the Asharqia Chamber, since its establishment, has continued to perform its developmental role with concrete steps that have contributed to supporting the growth of the national economy, according to a vision and strategy based on leadership and excellence in caring for the interests of the business sector.

He noted the commitment of the Chamber and the members of the new Board of Directors to work to sustain the development of the Chamber and enhance its institutional presence at various levels, by integrating with its executive body to complete the process and achieve the aspirations of the participants.
He pointed out that the new Board of Directors carries an ambitious approach with regard to strengthening the concepts of cooperation and partnership, which contributes to creating a strategic impact in economic decision-making, and supporting the competitiveness of the business environment in the Eastern Region, in addition to continuing to explore and enhance the economic and societal position of the region, and developing tools for institutional excellence for the Chamber. And for the business sector alike.
It is noteworthy that the Board of Directors was appointed by Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi in its twentieth session, which extends for four years, starting from the date of Rajab 19, 1447 AH on Thursday, corresponding to January 08, 2026 AD.
