المملكة: Implementing more than 52 million square meters of cleaning work in Jeddah during the year 2025 AD

Revealed Jeddah Governorate Municipality has carried out extensive work in the field of General Cleanliness Within its operational programs, it included cleaning more than 52 million square meters of vacant land, as part of its continuing efforts to maintain the cleanliness of the city and Improving the urban landscape and improving the quality of life.
The annual report of the General Administration of Cleaning Projects stated that the field work included implementing automatic and manual sweeping and picking up litter on the road network, with a length exceeding 4.6 million kilometers, in addition to cleaning highways, in addition to collecting and transporting large-sized waste that exceeded 1.28 million cubic meters from a number of neighborhoods and roads.
Improving the level of service
The report indicated that The operating programs also included washing more than 521 thousand waste containers and treating about 20.6 thousand containers, in addition to washing sidewalks and public facilities with a length of more than 24 thousand kilometers, which contributes to raising the efficiency of the cleaning system and improving the level of service provided.
With regard to improving the urban landscape, the secretariat indicated the removal of more than 70 thousand illegal billboards and advertising posters, and the treatment of more than 24 thousand square meters of distorted writings, in addition to dealing with more than 18 thousand A concrete barrier, as part of its efforts to reduce visual distortions and enhance the general appearance.
The Jeddah Governorate Municipality confirmed the continued implementation of periodic cleaning programs, the development of the operating system and the raising of the efficiency of field performance, in a way that keeps pace with the urban growth witnessed by the governorate, and contributes to providing a clean and attractive urban environment for the residents and visitors of Jeddah.
