The launch of the UMEX and SimTEX 2026 exhibitions with wide international participation
Abu Dhabi, January 20 / WAM / The activities of the Unmanned Systems Exhibition (UMEX) and Simulation and Training Exhibition (SIMTEX) 2026 kicked off today at the ADNEC Abu Dhabi Center and will continue until January 22.
UMEX and SimTEX 2026 are the only platforms of their kind in the Middle East for unmanned systems, robotics, simulation and training technologies, as the seventh session of the two events witnesses an unprecedented expansion in the volume of participation and scope of activities, in addition to an increasing focus on commercial and civil applications of these technologies, in addition to defense uses.
An elite group of local and international experts are participating in the current session, in addition to a broad participation from national and international companies, reflecting the advanced national capabilities in the fields of unmanned systems, artificial intelligence, simulation, training, and the expansion of civil and commercial uses of these activities, in a clear indication of the accelerated growth of national industries in this strategic sector.
The current session achieved record growth rates in all performance indicators, and is the largest in the history of UMEX and SimTEX since its first launch in 2015, as the exhibition area increased by 34% to reach 40,322 square meters compared to the previous session in 2024, and the number of companies and brands exhibiting increased to reach 375 companies and brands, an increase of 74% compared to the last session, while the number of participating countries increased by 9% to reach 38 countries, including ten new countries participating for the first time
The Emirati pavilion is the largest participating pavilion in the two exhibitions, followed by the Chinese pavilion and then the American pavilion. National companies represent 45% of the total number of companies, while the percentage of international companies reached 55%, which reflects the importance of these events and their vital role in supporting the development of national industries, enhancing their competitiveness and ability to access international markets, establishing partnerships and localizing knowledge in the country.
