Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed opens the UMEX and SimTEX 2026 exhibitions

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Office for Private Affairs and Chairman of the Intelligent Autonomous Systems Council, opened the seventh session of the Unmanned Systems Exhibition “UMEX” and Simulation and Training Exhibition “SIMTEX”, whose activities will continue at the ADNEC Center in Abu Dhabi until January 22nd.

His Highness visited a number of pavilions of national and international companies and government and private agencies participating in this year’s edition, which showcase the latest technical trends in the development of robots, unmanned aircraft, and smart control systems, in addition to advanced applications of simulation and artificial intelligence.

During his tour of the exhibition, His Highness was also briefed on the latest solutions and advanced technologies that reflect the rapid transformations in the fields of unmanned systems, simulation and training, and their role in supporting the readiness of the civil, commercial and defense sectors to keep pace with the aspirations of the future.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed that adopting advanced technical solutions in priority sectors is a strategic approach in anticipating the future to raise the level of readiness of the national economic system to keep pace with the requirements of precision industries, which contributes to supporting the process of sustainable development in the long term.

During the opening of the exhibition, His Highness was accompanied by Sheikh Hamdan bin Saeed bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan; Faisal Abdulaziz Al Bannai, Advisor to the President of the State for Strategic Research and Advanced Technology, Minister of State for Defense Affairs Mohammed bin Mubarak Fadel Al Mazrouei, and Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Issa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei.

The ADNEC Group is organizing the “UMEX” and “SEMTEX” exhibitions, in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense and the Tawazun Council for Defense Empowerment, with the support of the Intelligent Autonomous Systems Council, in a strategic partnership with the “EDGE” Group, and in partnership with the Integrated Transport Center “Abu Dhabi Mobility”, to display the latest innovative solutions and advanced technologies in the fields of unmanned systems, simulation and training, artificial intelligence, and technological applications used in the civil, commercial and defense fields.

The exhibition will witness the provision of live performances and interactive experiences that include unmanned systems on land, sea and air, in addition to specialized platforms to support emerging companies and organize dialogue and discussion sessions to exchange ideas and enhance the global dialogue on the artificial intelligence system, cybersecurity, and the governance of future technologies, which enhances the role of “UMEX” and “SEMTEX” as a global platform to support the growth of the industry and development of mobile systems.
