Urgent: Power outage at Chernobyl nuclear plant in Ukraine

All external electricity supplies to Chernobyl Nuclear Plant on Tuesday morning due to intense military operations, International Atomic Energy Agency via platform "X"

The agency said "The Chernobyl plant lost all external electrical power, and power lines leading to other nuclear plants were also affected"

Its General Manager, Rafael Grossi, added "The IAEA is closely monitoring the development of the situation to assess its impact on nuclear safety".
