Prices of 8 types of fruits increased in Saudi Arabia during December

Fruit prices witnessed in General Authority for Statistics Lebanese peaches topped the list of fruits with the highest prices, as their price jumped by 11.3% to reach 17.9 riyals per kilo in December, after recording 16.1 riyals per kilo in November. Egyptian oranges (Abu Surra) also witnessed a noticeable increase of 9.5%, rising from 6.7 per kilo in November to 7.4 riyals in December.
According to the averages bulletin Commodity prices For December 2025, Indian pomegranates recorded an increase of 5.8% on a monthly basis, reaching 12.5 riyals per kilo in December, while Pakistani tangerines declined by 7.8%, recording 8.7 riyals per kilo in December, compared to 9.5 riyals per kilo in November.
Grape varieties also witnessed an increase in prices during December, as Lebanese grapes rose by 3.9% to 15.9 riyals compared to 15.3 riyals in November, and local grapes rose by 3.1% to reach 14.1 riyals per kilo, compared to 13.6 riyals in the previous month.
Pears and bananas declined
Central (Lebanese) pears declined by 2.4% during December to record 12 riyals per kilo compared to 12.3 riyals in November, while Pakistani mangoes rose by 3.5%, recording 12.9 riyals in December, compared to 12.4 riyals in the previous November. The price of local watermelon stabilized at 3.3 riyals per kilo, while cantaloupe rose 1.1% from 4.5 riyals in November to 4.6 riyals in December.
The price of Sharbatly bananas also decreased by 2.6% to 5.9 riyals in December, compared to 6.1 riyals in the previous November. Plums (Bukhari/Turkish) declined by 6.6%, reaching 13.7 riyals per kilo in December, compared to 14.7 in November, and American red apples witnessed a decline of 2.1%, reaching 9.2 riyals per kilo in December, compared to 9.4 riyals in the previous November.
3 Varieties Stable
Meanwhile, 3 varieties maintained their price stability, as the price of dates remained (Rutab) remained stable at 14.6 riyals per kilo, yellow apples stabilized at 9.2 riyals, and medium African lemons maintained their price at 9.1 riyals per kilo.
