Signing an agreement to establish a housing project to accommodate 12,000 Emirates cabin crew

Emirates Airlines has signed an agreement with Dubai Investment Park to acquire a plot of land allocated to develop a new cabin crew complex.

The project is being implemented within a multi-billion dirham investment framework, to develop a residential and mixed-use community designed to accommodate up to 12,000 hospitality crew members.

The agreement was signed by Ali Mubarak Al Souri, CEO of Procurement and Facilities at Emirates Airlines, and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Investments Khalid bin Kalban, in the presence of Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Emirates Airlines Adel Al Redha, CEO – Industries – at Dubai Investments Abdulaziz bin Yaqoub Al Sarkal, Director General of Dubai Investment Park Omar Al Mesmar, and a number of senior officials from both sides.

The project’s construction work is scheduled to begin during the second quarter of 2026, with the first phase to be completed by 2029. The project will be implemented within a long-term rental agreement, and the complex will consist of 20 modern residential buildings with a height of 19 floors for each building.

Ali Mubarak Al Souri, CEO of Procurement and Facilities at Emirates Airlines, said: This investment comes within our broader commitment to supporting the well-being of cabin crew members, and the cabin crew complex will provide an integrated environment that includes everything the crew members need within a thoughtful urban plan, which includes service and entertainment facilities and community spaces.

Director General of Dubai Investment Park, Omar Al-Mesmar, said that Dubai Investment Park has established itself as an integrated development platform that supports the implementation of major projects within a comprehensive and future-ready system that combines advanced infrastructure and an integrated regulatory framework.

Thanks to its strategic, balanced location between Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum Airport in Dubai World Central, the Emirates cabin crew complex supports the airline’s long-term operational plans and the upcoming move to Al Maktoum International Airport, while ensuring the provision of the best possible living experience for its employees.
