“Municipalities”: launching 108,000 housing units and issuing 97,000 sales licenses in 2025
During the year 2025, the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing continued to achieve qualitative achievements in the housing sector, which contributed to increasing the housing supply, enhancing the residential stability of Saudi families, and raising the efficiency of the real estate market.
This came within an integrated system based on developing the housing supply, expanding financing solutions, and strengthening the regulatory and legislative environment, in order to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in raising the ownership rate and improving the quality of life.
Stimulating the supply
The Ministry explained Its efforts to stimulate the housing supply and real estate development resulted in the launch of more than 108,000 housing units within the off-plan sales product, in addition to issuing sales licenses for more than 97,000 housing units, which reflects the maturity of the regulatory environment, the high efficiency of development tools, enhancing the reliability of the real estate market, and stimulating the participation of the private sector in increasing the housing supply.
In addition to empowering beneficiaries and housing support, more than 18,000 housing units were delivered to beneficiaries, within integrated support paths aimed at empowering families. Saudi Arabia from ownership, enhancing residential stability, and achieving a balance between supply and demand in various regions of the Kingdom.
Efforts also included offering more than 12 thousand plots of land through the platform "residential"In a way that contributes to expanding ownership options, supporting urban planning and raising the efficiency of land use within urban areas to keep pace with population growth.
The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing confirmed that these achievements come as an extension of its strategy to raise the efficiency of the housing supply, enhance financing solutions, and develop systems and legislation that support the sustainability of the residential sector, noting that the Ministry is continuously working to strengthen partnerships with the private and non-profit sectors, accelerate the pace of implementation, and achieve economic and social impact. Sustainable, contributes to raising the rate of residential ownership and achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
