“Saudi Electricity” signs an energy conversion agreement at the “Rabigh 1” station for 5.3 billion riyals

The company said in a statement on the website "Saudi Arabia trading"The agreement is to purchase the energy produced from the Rabigh 1 combined cycle electric power station expansion project, with the readiness to build a carbon capture unit located in the western region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a production capacity of 1,179 megawatts. The project is 5.33 billion riyals.
She added that the project includes: developing, financing, building, owning and operating a gas station to produce electrical energy using the combined cycle system.
She explained that the duration of the project is 25 years from the date of commercial operation of the entire station.
She expected the financial impact to appear when the commercial operation of the entire station begins, in the second quarter of 2027.
