Cooperation between "SIRBAI" and"Edge" To enhance the capabilities of AI-enabled swarms for unmanned aerial systems

Abu Dhabi, January 22 / WAM / SIRBAI, which specializes in defense autonomy solutions and smart swarm technologies, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with EDGE, one of the leading global groups in the field of advanced technology and defense, to explore opportunities for cooperation in developing the capabilities of the next generation of unmanned aerial systems swarms.
Under the agreement signed by Dr. Najwa Al Araj, CEO of the Technology Innovation Institute, and Khaled Al Zaabi, Head of the Platforms and Systems Sector at EDGE, in the presence of His Excellency Faisal Abdulaziz Al Bannai, Advisor to the President of the State for Strategic Research and Advanced Technology, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “EDGE” Group, during the Unmanned Systems Exhibition “UMEX” 2026 in Abu Dhabi, the two companies will explore the possibilities of deploying the advanced mission intelligence package and swarm technologies supported by artificial intelligence from SIRBAI. Across EDGE’s portfolio of unmanned aerial vehicles and autonomous platforms.
This partnership follows a series of technical demonstrations during which Edge evaluated the performance of the SIRBAI technology suite for mission intelligence and swarm coordination, and confirmed its operational readiness, scalability and effectiveness in the real world. EDGE’s decision to collaborate with SIRBAI embodies a technology-driven selection process, based on proven capabilities, performance under operational conditions and system maturity.
SIRBAI’s comprehensive solutions combine command and control, mission planning and coordination systems into one easy-to-use platform, simplifying complex operations, enabling operators to make faster decisions and enhancing their efficiency in managing unmanned aerial vehicle fleets.
The platform’s modular, scalable architecture is characterized by its ability to integrate with existing systems, with the ability to deal with a wide range of operational scenarios, starting from intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, through search and rescue, perimeter defense, convoy protection, countering hostile air defenses, all the way to cooperation between manned and unmanned systems.
As part of this collaboration, SIRBAI’s technology portfolio will be integrated across the EDGE UAV ecosystem, spanning small hand-held platforms all the way to larger unmanned systems, including combat drones, and MALE (Medium Altitude Long Endurance) and HALE (High Altitude Long Endurance) hover platforms.
This integration will also include SIRBAI’s combat intelligence capabilities, enhancing target recognition, threat assessment, mission-level decision support, and real-time coordination across single- and multi-platform operations.
