The UAE Government and the World Economic Forum launch the “Global Strategic Intelligence Programme”

The UAE government, in partnership with the World Economic Forum, within the meetings of the 56th session of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, launched the “Global Strategic Intelligence Programme,” in a qualitative step aimed at enabling governments and institutions to move to more proactive and flexible models in anticipating global changes, and accelerating strategic decision-making, thus enhancing their readiness to deal efficiently and effectively with accelerating transformations.
The forum witnessed the signing of a cooperation and partnership document in preparation for the start of implementing the program, in the presence of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairwoman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, the Minister of Cabinet Affairs and member of the World Economic Forum Leadership Council, Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, the CEO of the World Economic Forum “Davos” Borg Brende, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of “BlackRock” and the Interim Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the World Economic Forum Larry Fink, and it was signed by Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Affairs Huda Al-Hashemi, and Director-General of the World Economic Forum, Maroun Kairouz.
The Global Program for Strategic Intelligence aims to consolidate the use of strategic intelligence as a pivotal tool for reading global future trends and anticipating opportunities and risks to develop more proactive and ready strategies through employing artificial intelligence and technological solutions.
The Global Strategic Intelligence Program represents a pioneering international initiative that reflects an advanced trend to enhance the role of strategic intelligence in anticipating the future and decision-making, and it will work to launch several initiatives, the most prominent of which are: Organizing a global forum for strategic intelligence in the Emirates, establishing the first global alliance for strategic intelligence, launching the strategic intelligence accelerators, and launching the Strategic Intelligence Academy.
Huda Al Hashemi stressed that the launch of the Global Strategic Intelligence Program represents a qualitative addition that enhances international cooperation and accelerates the transition to an advanced forward-looking approach. It reflects the active and influential presence of the UAE in international forums, and embodies its proactive vision in enabling governments around the world to develop advanced future models, capable of reading global transformations early, and transforming data and knowledge into accurate, fast, and implementable strategic decisions, thus enhancing the readiness of governments.
She said that the Global Strategic Intelligence Program represents a qualitative addition and a new contribution to the UAE government in supporting innovation and development of future models, and reflects its shared visions with the forum in enhancing international cooperation to empower governments by facilitating the transition to a proactive approach to anticipating the future.
For his part, Managing Director of the World Economic Forum, Stefan Margenthaler, said that this cooperation reflects the importance of integrating strategic intelligence and foresight into the core of the government decision-making process, expressing the Forum’s keenness to deepen the partnership by moving forward in developing a global program for strategic intelligence that supports policymakers in dealing with challenges, seizing opportunities, and strengthening governance.
