61 dead in 3 days due to snow and heavy rain in Afghanistan

61 people were killed in 3 days in Afghanistan as a result of heavy snow and heavy rain.

The National Disaster Management Authority in Afghanistan stated in a preliminary toll today that 110 people were injured, while 458 homes were partially damaged or completely destroyed, especially in the states located in the north and center of the country. It called on residents to avoid unnecessary travel on snow-covered roads.

Meanwhile, the Parwan Province authorities announced the closure of the Salang Highway, one of the main roads in Afghanistan, and food aid was distributed to travelers stranded in a mountain pass in central Bamyan Province.
