"Dubai Aerospace Enterprise" I enter into a long-term agreement to lease my aircraft "Boeing 737-8" to "Sumon Air"

DUBAI, 26 JANUARY / WAM / Dubai Aerospace Enterprise announced today the conclusion of a long-term agreement with Sumon Air to lease two new Boeing 737-8 aircraft, with the two aircraft to be delivered during the year 2026.

Firoz Tarapore, CEO of DAE, confirmed that this agreement represents the beginning of cooperation with Sumon Air to join the company’s customer base, noting that Sumon Air, as the national carrier of the Republic of Tajikistan, seeks to expand its fleet and enhance its operational capabilities.

He expressed his aspiration to develop a long-term strategic partnership that would contribute to the expansion of its fleet in the coming years.

For his part, Abdul Qasim Waleef, CEO of Sumon Air, said that signing the leasing agreement constitutes an important step in supporting the expansion of the company’s route network, launching new destinations, in addition to enhancing the operational efficiency of its operations.

It owns and operates Dubai Aerospace Enterprise and is committed to owning or managing a fleet of approximately 750 aircraft, including 237 Boeing aircraft, with ongoing plans to expand its fleet to keep pace with the growing demand in the global aviation sector.
