Mansour bin Mohammed congratulates Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani on his election as President of the Olympic Council of Asia

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the National Olympic Committee, today congratulated Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, on the occasion of his election as President of the Olympic Council of Asia, as part of the work of the Council’s General Assembly, which was held today in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent.

His Highness said in a blog post on the “X” platform: “We congratulate my brother Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani on the occasion of his election as President of the Olympic Council of Asia, and we renew our full confidence in his ability to push the Asian Olympic process to new horizons of excellence in a way that serves the aspirations of the continent’s youth and enhances the levels of international cooperation during the next stage.”
