Raising the level of readiness

He explained that the exercise includes a set of advanced operational scenarios that simulate modern naval operations patterns, with the participation of (10) combat ships, helicopters, and two platoons of special maritime security units, in addition to the participation of the Royal Air Force of Oman, which contributes to raising the level of readiness. The exercise commander stated that His Majesty the King’s ships will carry out naval maneuvers in the Sea of Oman, while training of special marine security units will be conducted at the Saeed bin Sultan Naval Base.

He pointed out that the exercise includes the implementation of a set of specific exercises that include joint naval operations, special unit exercises, and naval vertical aviation exercises, in addition to missile and live ammunition shooting exercises.

Testing operational plans

He pointed out that the naval forces and their Omani counterpart had carried out the first phase of the exercise at the King Faisal Naval Base in the Western Fleet in April 2025, with the participation of ship crews from both sides.

During which training took place on planning and preparing for missions at various levels of command, implementing scenarios, testing operational plans and measuring their effectiveness on advanced simulation systems.
