"Dubai Press Club" Regulates "Emirati-Kuwaiti media ceremony" In the presence of the Minister of Information of the State of Kuwait

Dubai, January 26 / WAM / Based on the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, to celebrate the established fraternal relations between the United Arab Emirates and the sisterly State of Kuwait, and under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Council. For the media, an Emirati media delegation will head to Kuwait early next February as part of a visit organized by the Dubai Press Club, to celebrate the fraternal and historical ties between the two countries, through the “Emirati-Kuwait Media Ceremony,” in the presence of His Excellency Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi, Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs in the State of Kuwait.
The Emirati delegation includes more than 100 leaders and media icons in the Emirates and includes an elite group of leaders of Emirati media and journalistic institutions, newspaper editors, and a group of writers, journalists, content makers, artists, producers, and influencers. The event also includes an elite group of the most important media and journalistic leaders and the most prominent writers, thinkers, and opinion makers in the State of Kuwait.
On this occasion, Her Excellency Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice President and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of the Dubai Press Club, said: “The Kuwaiti media is a pioneering media and took the lead in shaping the most important features of the Gulf media scene over the past century, and we have close and exemplary cooperation relations dating back to the period before the establishment of the Union. Today, we affirm the role of the media as a partner in strengthening and developing the historical partnership between the UAE and the State of Kuwait, which has always been based on mutual respect, shared visions, and a keenness to build a better future.” For the two brotherly peoples.”
The ceremony includes the Dubai Press Club honoring an elite group of Kuwaiti media professionals who contributed to strengthening media cooperation between the two sides, especially the media cadres who had a prominent presence in the “Arab Media Award” since its establishment by the Dubai Press Club in 1999, which is considered the most important and prominent Arab forum for celebrating excellence in the world of Arab media.
The event is scheduled to witness the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Dubai Media Incorporated and Kuwait TV to enhance cooperation in the field of joint production, and to further exchange ideas and successful experiences to develop high-quality media content. A dialogue session will also be held, organized by the Dubai Media Youth Council in cooperation with the Kuwaiti Media Youth Council, entitled “Media and the Voice of Youth – UAE and Kuwait.”
For her part, Maryam Al-Mulla, Director of the Dubai Press Club, explained that the visit represents a new impetus for the exemplary cooperation relations of the media community in both the Emirates and Kuwait, expressing the club’s pride in the many aspects of cooperation that it has always brought together with an elite of the most important and prominent Kuwaiti media makers, especially through the “Arab Media Summit” and the “Arab Media Award” and since their launch in Dubai more than 25 years ago.
Members of the Emirati media delegation praised this initiative, which they stressed was inspired by the keenness of the wise leadership of the two countries to strengthen the established strategic partnership and push it towards broader horizons in a way that serves the interests of the two brotherly peoples.
