US stocks open today’s trading slightly higher

While the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by (184) points, or (0.4%), while the Nasdaq Composite Index added (0.3%) to its value.

Shares of major airline companies recorded a slight decline at the beginning of trading, after thousands of flights were cancelled.

This was due to a severe winter storm that affected travel, starting from the Rocky Mountains all the way to the East Coast in the United States.
