5.8% increase in container handling at DP World during 2025

Data showed that the Dubai Ports World (DP World) group handled 93.36 million 20-foot TEUs during the year 2025, achieving a growth of 5.8%, compared to 88.28 million containers that the group handled during the past year.
According to the data contained in a document published by the group on its website, DB World was able to handle 23.9 million TEUs during the fourth quarter of 2025, achieving a growth of 4.2% compared to the 22.96 million TEUs that the group handled during the fourth quarter of 2024.
Jebel Ali Port handled 15.6 million TEUs during 2025, compared to 15.53 million TEUs in the corresponding period of 2024, a growth of 0.1%. In the fourth quarter alone, the port handled about 3.96 million containers.
At the global level, handling volumes in the Asia-Pacific region and the Indian subcontinent increased by 3% to reach 44.7 million TEUs, compared to 43.38 million TEUs handled by the group in 2024. The fourth quarter alone in this region also recorded a growth of 2.3%, bringing the volume of handling to about 11.37 million TEUs.
The volume of handling in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region increased during the year 2025 by 8.3% to reach 34.52 million TEUs, compared to 31.88 million TEUs in the corresponding period of 2024. During the fourth quarter, the volume of handling reached 8.82 million TEUs, compared to 8.39 million TEUs in the corresponding period of 2024, an increase of 5.1%.
The group recorded a growth of 8.6% in the Americas and Australia during the year 2025, as it handled more than 14.13 million TEUs, compared to 13 million TEUs in 2024, and handling volumes increased in the fourth quarter of 2025, bringing the handling volume to 3.73 million TEUs, a growth rate of 8.3%.
