"NMDC Group" Its fleet was strengthened by the addition of a self-propelled cutting and suction dredger worth AED 618 million

Abu Dhabi, January 29 / WAM / NMDC Group announced the strengthening of its fleet by adding a self-propelled cutting and suction bulldozer worth AED 618 million, with a total length of 148 meters, and an installed operational capacity of 30,440 kilowatts.
The dredger will contribute to enhancing NMDC Group’s capabilities in the field of marine dredging work, in light of the continued growth in its business record and the growing portfolio of projects in several regions and international markets.
The ship’s keel-laying ceremony, which was organized yesterday, witnessed the presence of officials from NMDC Group and its subsidiary NMDC Dredging and Marine, marking the start of construction work. It is expected that the ship will be completed and put into operational service by the first quarter of 2027.
Engineer Yasser Zaghloul, CEO of NMDC Group, said: Celebrating the construction of a new ship represents living evidence of the expansion of our operations and our efforts directed at enhancing our operational capabilities, in addition to laying new foundations for the growth of our business, pointing out that the advanced dredger has joined the distinguished NMDC fleet, which contributes to raising our operational efficiency and enabling us to implement our projects with higher levels of efficiency.
This comes within the framework of a pivotal strategic direction for the group that focuses on enhancing long-term operational capabilities, relying on world-class assets, and adopting the latest technologies, to support its ability to implement coastal and port projects, energy projects, and major marine projects within its main operating markets.
It is noteworthy that, in recent years, NMDC Group has continued to strengthen its operational capabilities to keep pace with the rapid growth in its project portfolio across several markets and geographical regions, and in 2025, it expanded its international presence by implementing projects in the Philippines and the Sultanate of Oman.
