Exhibition launch "Al Dhaid Agricultural 2026" At Expo Center Al Dhaid

Sharjah, January 29 / WAM / Today, Sheikh Majid bin Faisal Al Qasimi, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, opened the activities of the third session of the “Al Dhaid Agricultural Exhibition 2026”, which is organized by the Expo Center Sharjah with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in cooperation with the Department of Agriculture and Livestock at the Expo Center Al Dhaid, and will continue until the first of next February.
More than 40 leading companies and an elite group of experts, farmers, productive families, government agencies and those concerned with the agricultural sector are participating in the exhibition in an event that attracts farmers from all emirates of the country and focuses on developing agricultural practices and strengthening the food security system in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The opening was attended by His Excellency Mohammed Saeed Al Nuaimi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, His Excellency Khalifa Musabah Al Tunaiji, Head of the Department of Agriculture and Livestock in Sharjah, and a number of members of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Chamber, and Muhammad Musabah Al Tunaiji, Director of the Expo Center Al Dhaid, along with a number of officials in the Eastern Region and investors in the agricultural sector.
The attendees toured the exhibition halls to see the latest technology, modern equipment and innovative solutions presented by companies and exhibitors in the agricultural sector, including the development of wheat and grain cultivation, modern techniques in hydroponic and vertical agriculture, advanced irrigation and gardening methods, in addition to the finest types of innovative fertilizers.
Sheikh Majid bin Faisal Al Qasimi stressed that the Chamber’s support for the exhibition is in line with the emirate’s directions in stimulating sectors with a long-term development dimension with the aim of enabling the agricultural system to keep pace with global economic transformations within the framework of a joint collective effort between various sectors aimed at enhancing food security, supporting the green economy and achieving a balance between sustainable commercial growth and environmental responsibility. He pointed out that the exhibition represents a strategic platform for developing agricultural business by providing direct communication opportunities between farmers, suppliers and providers of technical solutions, which contributes to making more efficient investment decisions and seeking to build Solid partnerships and the conclusion of qualitative deals enhance the sustainability of activities related to the sector and open new horizons for entrepreneurs and investors.
His Excellency Khalifa Musabah Al-Tunaiji pointed out that the exhibition is an important station to unify efforts between the concerned authorities and workers in the sector to support the transition towards more efficient production models that are appropriate for local climatic conditions. He explained that the primary goal of such exhibitions concerned with agricultural and animal production is to support the goals of the “National Food Security Strategy 2051” by adopting innovation as a basic means to confront the challenges of climate change and strengthen global supply chains.
In turn, Muhammad Musabah Al-Tunaiji stressed that the exhibition consolidates its position as a specialized professional platform that succeeds in linking the requirements of the agricultural market with applicable practical solutions, which contributes to enhancing the efficiency of local production. He pointed out that its design came to achieve a combination of the field experience of farmers and the technological and academic knowledge of the largest international companies and research institutions. He pointed out that the new version of the exhibition expands in providing the opportunity for participants and visitors to see innovative operational models that allow them to learn about advanced methods of agricultural work and improve productivity within an organized competitive environment, in addition to its commitment to providing a supportive environment that allows… Farmers have direct access to the latest innovations, which contribute to developing traditional agricultural practices and transforming them into sustainable, high-quality production systems.
The exhibition allows visitors to learn about the latest logistical solutions that serve the agricultural sector, including greenhouse construction services, packaging and transportation techniques, and supply chain management, in addition to animal production techniques that include fish and poultry farms, beekeeping, livestock, water treatment technology, modern storage systems, and heavy agricultural equipment, as well as solutions for crop protection, pest control, and various seed varieties, with a special focus on smart solutions to rationalize water consumption.
The exhibition includes a program full of dialogue sessions dealing with the cultivation of medicinal plants, ornamental plants, fruits and vegetables, in addition to a review of advanced research experiments to develop high-yielding agricultural varieties that are resistant to climate change in a way that keeps pace with current environmental challenges and enhances the sustainability of local production.
The event attracts farmers, farm owners, agricultural engineers, experts and researchers, as well as entrepreneurs, productive families, academic and research institutions, cooperative societies, banking institutions, government agencies and the private sector.
