Starting tomorrow… traffic diversions on Al-Mustaqbal Street at the “Commercial Center” coinciding with the start of new tunnel work

The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai announced that some temporary traffic diversions will be implemented on Al Mostaqbal Street at its intersection with Trade Center Street, starting tomorrow, Thursday, March 19, 2026, coinciding with the start of implementation of new tunnel works on Al Mostaqbal Street, as part of infrastructure development projects and improving traffic flow.
The authority explained that the intersection will be transformed into a roundabout governed by traffic lights temporarily, calling on drivers to plan their trips in advance and leave early to avoid crowding and ensure smooth access to their destinations, especially in light of the ongoing work.
In a related context, DIY Roads urged the public to take advantage of the “S’hail” application for planning trips during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, as it is a smart means that allows users to determine their destinations and review the best paths and transportation options available, including the various means of transportation in Dubai.
She stressed that the application contributes to facilitating transportation and reducing travel time, especially during peak periods and seasons that witness heavy traffic, such as the Eid al-Fitr holiday, noting that it is available through the App Store, Google Play, and Huawei App Gallery stores.
