The parent is responsible for attaching official excuses for the student’s absence

Administrations of public and private schools that implement the Ministry of Education’s curriculum have confirmed that the guardian bears direct responsibility for submitting official excuses for the student’s absence via the electronic link approved by the school, and within the specified time period, without relying on administrative staff to complete these procedures.
The administrations stressed that adherence to this mechanism is an essential element in organizing attendance and absence processes, ensuring the regularity of study, and preserving students’ educational rights in accordance with the approved rules and regulations.
The administrations explained in letters to parents, seen by Emirates Today, that adherence to submitting official excuses on time contributes to strengthening discipline within the school, and enables educational administrations to accurately monitor students’ conditions and take appropriate measures when needed, in a way that supports the stability of the educational process and reduces unjustified absences.
She warned that a student’s absence without providing an official excuse is classified as a second-degree behavioral violation, and is dealt with in accordance with the approved code of conduct, ensuring that the regulations are applied fairly and transparently to all students, enhancing in them the values of commitment and responsibility, and instilling a culture of respect for school systems.
School administrations stressed the importance of the pivotal role played by parents in supporting the educational process, praising their continuous cooperation and constant keenness to monitor their children academically and behaviourally, which clearly contributed to enhancing educational stability, consolidating behavioral discipline, and building an effective partnership between the school and the family, which reflects positively on the students’ performance and academic progress.
