A supporter of lowering interest rates.. Trump chooses Kevin Warsh to head the Federal Reserve

Today, US President Donald Trump announced the selection of Kevin Warsh, a former member of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, to head the Federal Reserve Board (the US central bank) after the end of the term of current President Jerome Powell.
Warash is a supporter of lowering interest rates.
Warsh will become the seventeenth Chairman of the Federal Reserve Board.
Trump said on the Truth Social platform: “I am pleased to nominate Kevin Warsh to be Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. I have known Kevin for a long time, and I have no doubt that he will go down as one of the greatest Fed chairs, perhaps the best of all time. Above all, it is the ideal choice, and it will never disappoint you.”
Warsh is a fairly conventional candidate for Fed chairman; He is a former central bank governor, and was previously proposed to serve as Treasury Secretary in Trump’s second term, and was also a candidate for the top job at the Federal Reserve during Trump’s first term.
Warsh was appointed to the Federal Reserve Board in 2006 at the age of 35, becoming the youngest person to hold a position on the powerful bank’s board.
