The Cyber Security Council, Emirates Post, and Darb warn of fake fraudulent messages

The Cyber Security Council, in cooperation with the Emirates Post Group and the Darb platform, warned of fraudulent and fake messages being circulated via SMS, the WhatsApp application, and email, which include suspicious links asking users to click on them and enter their credit card information, or claiming to offer unreal discounts and offers.
The Cyber Security Council stressed the importance of not interacting with these messages or clicking on any links attached to them, stressing the necessity of verifying the source of the messages and avoiding sharing any personal or financial data under any circumstances.
The Council called on community members, in the event of exposure to such fraudulent attempts, to open a report with the relevant police authorities and provide them with all available details, reasons, and evidence in a way that contributes to enhancing cybersecurity and protecting community members from electronic fraud attempts.
