We sent a larger number of ships to Iran with the aim of reaching a deal with a deadline for Tehran

US President Donald Trump announced on Friday that Iran wants to conclude an agreement to avoid military action, adding that he has set an unannounced deadline for Tehran to respond to his proposals. This comes at a time when American ships are heading towards the region.
“I can say this: They want to make a deal,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. When asked whether he had set a time limit, he replied: “Yes, I did,” but added that “only Tehran knows the details of this deadline.”
Trump also confirmed in his speech that the fleet heading to Iran is larger than the one that went to Venezuela. The US fleet includes the ship “Abraham Lincoln”, which carries more than 80 aircraft, in addition to the “strike group” accompanying it, which includes three destroyers equipped with Tomahawk missiles and possessing anti-missile capabilities.
These statements came after Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian confirmed today, Friday, that Iran welcomes dialogue and does not seek war.
