Al Ain Heritage Festival celebrates Emirati-Kuwaiti fraternal relations

Al Ain, 31 January / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority organized an artistic event this evening to celebrate Emirati-Kuwaiti relations, as part of the activities of the first day of the Al Ain Heritage Festival, which the Authority organizes at the exhibition grounds in Al Ain from January 31 to February 9.
The celebration was attended by His Excellency Abdullah Mubarak Al Muhairi, Acting Director General of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, the executive directors of the Authority’s sectors, and a crowd of visitors and audiences of the Al Ain Heritage Festival.
The celebration came within the framework of the week of celebration of Emirati-Kuwaiti relations, which was launched in various emirates of the country under the title “The Emirates and Kuwait… Brothers Forever” and continues until next February 4 with a wide range of community, entertainment and cultural activities.
The celebration began on the festival stage with the national anthem of both the State of Kuwait and the Emirates, followed by the presentation of a segment entitled “The Emirates and Kuwait are Brothers Forever,” which included a joint performance of the art of the Kuwaiti Ardha and the Emirati Ayyala, which reflected the historical and emotional dimension of the relations between the two countries. The students of Al Raqiqia School in Al Ain participated in embodying the segment.
The second part of the celebration included the showing of a visual film that addressed the depth of Emirati-Kuwaiti relations, and reviewed prominent stages of the process of joint cooperation between the two countries in the political, cultural and social fields, supported by archival photos and documented testimonies that reflected the continuity of fraternal ties between the two peoples.
The third paragraph was a painting of Al-Azi’s art entitled “Azi in Love with Kuwait,” written by the poet Ahmed Khalifa Al-Kaabi, and performed by Saud Al-Mansouri, with the participation of Al-Falah Al-Ayyala Band, and the performance paintings were designed by Saeed Al-Zaabi.
The organization of the celebration came within the framework of the festival management’s keenness to shed light on the fraternal relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and to promote common values among peoples, in addition to highlighting the role of heritage and folk arts in cultural and human communication.
The event also aimed to introduce new generations to the depth of the historical ties between the Emirates and Kuwait, and to consolidate the concepts of love and cohesion among the Gulf peoples through artistic and cultural activities that reflect authentic identity and evoke bright pages of shared history.
