Noura Al Kaabi participates in the International Economic Forum"CAF" In Panama

Panama, 1st February / WAM / Her Excellency Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of State, participated in the International Economic Forum organized by the Latin American and Caribbean Development Bank (CAF), which was held in Panama City. The Forum brought together more than 2,500 leaders and decision-makers to advance dialogue on addressing climate change, accelerate transformational solutions in the energy sector, and build partnerships that support economic prosperity in Latin American and Caribbean countries.

Her Excellency’s participation in the forum reflects the UAE’s commitment to deepening its partnerships with countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, advancing sustainable economic development paths, and enhancing innovation-based and future-oriented cooperation, at the bilateral and international levels.

On the sidelines of the forum, Her Excellency Noura Al Kaabi held a number of meetings with senior officials and regional and international leaders, as part of the UAE’s continued presence on the international scene. She met with His Excellency Albert Ramdin, Secretary-General of the Organization of American States, His Excellency Carlos Hoyos, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Panama, His Excellency Javier Jiménez, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Paraguay, and Ms. Natalia Bayona, Executive Director of the United Nations Tourism Organization, in addition to representatives of the National Confederation of Industry in Brazil.

During these meetings, Her Excellency stressed the importance of moving from temporary cooperation to organized institutional partnerships, with clear definitions and directed towards achieving tangible results, based on sustainable energy, infrastructure connectivity, digital transformation, and innovation-based development.

Her Excellency also highlighted the UAE’s pioneering experience in mobilizing financing for large-scale initiatives, which enhances economic flexibility, supports regional value chains, and contributes to accelerating the achievement of long-term development goals.

Her Excellency stressed the importance of scalable cooperation models capable of achieving joint growth and sustainable impact over the next decade, stressing that these meetings laid the foundation for developing strategic projects between the UAE and the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Her Excellency was accompanied by His Excellency Omar Shehadeh, the Minister of Foreign Affairs’ envoy to the Caribbean and Pacific countries
