Laboratory opening"AMSPEC" At Dubai Science Park

DUBAI, 2nd February, 2018 (WAM) – Amspec Group, the global company specialized in monitoring, testing and accreditation services, announced the opening of its modern scientific laboratory for examining agricultural and food products at Dubai Science Park, in a step that reflects its commitment to supporting the growth of the agricultural and food sectors in the UAE, and enhancing the safety and quality system in keeping with national trends towards compliance with regulatory and commercial frameworks and consolidating food security standards.
The new laboratory represents a qualitative addition to the scientific infrastructure in Dubai, as it provides, from its regional headquarters in the Dubai Science Park of the TECOM Group, advanced, high-resolution analysis services for agricultural products, animal feed, food and beverages, which contributes to raising the efficiency of supply chains, enhancing transparency, and ensuring the quality of products traded in the local and regional markets.
Valentin Rosell, Executive Vice President of the Group’s Agricultural and Food Products Division, said that the opening of the laboratory in Dubai represents a strategic station to support customers at various stages of the supply chain, stressing that this investment reflects confidence in the UAE’s position as a regional center for specialized testing and international accreditation, in light of the increasing global demand for accuracy and reliability.
For his part, Marwan Abdul Aziz Janahi, First Vice President of TECOM Group, Dubai Science Park, stressed that attracting international scientific companies strengthens food and agricultural value chains, supports the country’s goals in achieving food security, and keeps pace with Dubai Economic Agenda D 33 and the We Are the Emirates 2031 vision.
The laboratory includes more than 30 analysts and technical experts, and works around the clock, using the latest technologies to conduct analyzes of pesticide residues, mycotoxins, drug residues, heavy metals, and genetic and molecular tests, which enhances the position of Dubai and the UAE as a global destination for scientific innovation and trade exchange.
