The Head of State and the President of Sierra Leone discuss cooperation relations between the two countries

Today, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and Julius Maada Bio, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, discussed various aspects of bilateral relations and opportunities for their development, especially in the economic, trade, investment, renewable energy, sustainability and other fields that represent development priorities for the two countries in a way that serves their common interests and brings goodness and development to their peoples.

This came while His Highness received – at the Beach Palace in Abu Dhabi – the President of Sierra Leone, who is on a working visit to the country.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues and topics of common interest and exchanged views on them, stressing the mutual keenness to continue strengthening the relations of the two countries and investing in promising opportunities that open new horizons for joint cooperation in order to achieve the aspirations of the two countries for development and prosperity.

They also stressed the importance of working to promote stability and peace in the region and the world, which is an essential foundation for achieving development and progress in societies.

His Highness the President of the State stressed the UAE’s interest in expanding the base of its relations with the countries of the African continent for the sake of common development, based on the country’s approach to building comprehensive development partnerships that achieve mutual interests and prosperity for all.

The meeting was attended by: His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of the Presidential Office for Special Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor to His Highness the President of the State, and a number of sheikhs, ministers and senior officials.
