Emirates Post launches 4 issues during the Dubai International Stamp Exhibition 2026

Dubai, February 3, 2017 – Emirates Post launched four successive commemorative issues in conjunction with the launch of the Dubai International Stamp Exhibition 2026, and in cooperation with the Emirates Philatelic Association, reflecting its commitment to enhancing the system of specialized hobbies of cognitive value, and consolidating the country’s presence on the map of global exhibitions, in addition to highlighting the role of the stamp as a tool for cultural documentation and promoting cultural exchange between societies.

The Emirates Philatelic Association is one of the specialized community institutions that has contributed over three decades to developing this hobby, consolidating its position, enhancing the awareness of UAE stamps locally and internationally, and expanding the base of interested people through knowledge activities, events, exhibitions, and seminars, in a way that is consistent with the country’s cultural path and enhances its presence through solid institutional frameworks.

The first day’s stamp documents the Emirates Philatelic Association’s hosting of the Dubai International Stamp Exhibition 2026, an event organized for the first time in the Arab region and West Asia.

The exhibition witnesses a record international participation of 76 countries, in addition to the United Nations Post Office and the Universal Postal Union, which supervised a competition dedicated to postal administrations, in addition to displaying thousands of rare and precious stamps from around the world, which enhances opportunities for cultural communication and the exchange of experiences between amateurs and specialized bodies.

Today’s second edition celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the Asian International Philatelic Federation, since its registration in Singapore in 1974, as a non-profit, non-political federation that includes philatelic associations in Asia and the Australasian region.

The publication highlights the Federation’s role over five decades in developing the hobby, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and experiences, enhancing cooperation between member associations, and supporting the movement of specialized exhibitions at the region level.

The third day’s stamp documents the 100th anniversary of the founding of the International Federation of Stamp Collectors in 1926, as the most prominent international reference in supporting and developing the hobby of stamp collecting and raising the standards of its specialized exhibitions around the world. The publication embodies the Union’s journey, which has evolved from a limited grouping to an international network that today includes more than 90 member states and three associate members, and its role in sponsoring exhibitions, granting them recognition according to internationally approved standards, and strengthening friendly ties between communities through common cultural hobbies.

Emirates Post will conclude the issues with a special fourth commemorative stamp in appreciation of the Emirates Philatelic Association’s journey and its role in supporting the hobby, enhancing the presence of UAE stamps and introducing them locally and internationally, and highlighting the cultural progress in the country.

The association, which was established pursuant to Ministerial Resolution No. 372 dated June 24, 1996, continues its efforts to develop the hobby, expand the base of those interested, and enhance the exchange of knowledge and experiences, which has made it a community pillar specialized in this field at the local and international levels.

Emirates Post indicated that these publications embody the convergence between the postal message and the cultural dimension, and confirm that the postal stamp remains one of the country’s soft tools for documenting achievements, celebrating partnerships, and communicating the national narrative to a global audience of amateurs, institutions, and interested parties.
