Prime Minister of Serbia: Our partnership with the UAE is characterized by strength and continuous expansion
Dubai, February 5 / WAM / His Excellency Goro Machut, Prime Minister of Serbia, confirmed that relations between the United Arab Emirates and his country are at their best levels ever, on the political and economic levels, describing the partnership between the two countries as characterized by strength and continuous expansion.
Machot explained in statements to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, on the sidelines of the World Government Summit held in Dubai, that cooperation with Emirati companies contributed to the development of a number of major strategic projects in Serbia, most notably the Belgrade waterfront project, which changed the urban landscape of the Serbian capital and contributed to reshaping its cultural face.
He added that the project constitutes an essential focus for a new phase of investments, pointing out its connection to the Expo 2027 area in Belgrade, which provides broad investment opportunities in the next phase, in addition to enhancing cooperation with the UAE in the fields of infrastructure, technology, and government work needs.
Machot pointed out that the two countries are working to expand the partnership in the areas of digital transformation, including developing a joint information technology environment that supports the work of health and education systems, and benefiting from the UAE’s expertise in e-government and artificial intelligence applications.
Regarding the prospects for economic and investment cooperation, the Prime Minister of Serbia stressed that the partnership between the two countries is based on strong political relations, which creates a strong basis for expanding economic cooperation, whether at the bilateral level or through partnership in projects in other countries.
He added that the fields of energy and information technology represent major pillars for the future of relations between the two countries, noting Serbia’s interest in benefiting from the UAE’s expertise in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy, in addition to cooperation in the sectors of artificial intelligence and the digital economy.
