The start of direct subscription to Issue No. (44) of government development bonds through the Bahrain Stock Exchange

The Bahrain Stock Exchange announced that, as of Monday, February 9, 2026, and based on the invitation announced by the Central Bank of Bahrain, Bahraini and non-Bahraini investors can subscribe directly through the stock exchange’s primary market to the Government Development Bond Issue No. (44) with a size of 100 million Bahraini dinars, which was issued by the Central Bank of Bahrain on behalf of the government of the Kingdom of Bahrain, by giving their orders to brokers registered on the Bahrain Stock Exchange, and then trading it in the secondary market through Bahrain Stock Exchange immediately upon its listing, which is expected to take place on February 25, 2026.
The Stock Exchange has set the subscription period for this offering through brokers registered on the Stock Exchange, starting from Monday, February 9, 2026, until Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Subscription will be open on Monday from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm, and on Tuesday from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, noting that the minimum subscription is 500 bonds to the subscriber.
The size of the issue is 100 million Bahraini dinars, with a nominal value of one Bahraini dinar per bond, while the duration of the issue is two years, starting from February 12, 2026 until February 12, 2028 (maturity date). The fixed return is 5.625% annually, during which the issuance interest is paid every six months, due on February 12 and August 12 of each year during the issuance period, starting from August 12, 2026 until the maturity date (including the maturity date).
Government Development Bonds represent a financial instrument issued by the Central Bank of Bahrain on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain directly guarantees the issuance of government development bonds.
