The Arab Media Summit 2026 brings together global and Arab media on one platform this year

Vice President and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and Director General of the Dubai Government Media Office, Mona Al Marri, confirmed that the launch of the Arab Media Summit 2026 comes within the framework of an integrated vision that aims to keep pace with the rapid transformations in the media sector, and to expand the scope of the summit to include new specializations and platforms that reflect the reality of the media industry and its future, noting that the next session will witness the addition of specific forums, including the Government Communication Forum and the Electronic Games Forum, in a way that enhances the comprehensiveness of the summit and its ability to attract new segments of content makers and experts. And specialists.

She explained during the press conference organized by the Dubai Press Club today, to announce the details of the Arab Media Summit 2026, that the summit continues to consolidate its position as a regional and global platform for media dialogue, through strategic partnerships with prestigious international media institutions, including the Financial Times and Reuters, stressing that these partnerships contribute to raising the level of content, enhancing interaction, and exchanging experiences between the Arab media and its global counterpart, which reflects positively on the quality of Media coverage of regional issues.

Mona Al Marri stressed that investing in people remains a major priority, pointing out that the Arab Media Summit pays special attention to developing young media competencies and talents, through specialized training programs and workshops, and continuous support from local and international educational and media institutions, with the aim of preparing a media generation capable of innovation and influence, and keeping pace with the requirements of the future.

She added that expanding the scope of the summit to include new media sectors contributes to enhancing the diverse presence of various governmental and private agencies and media institutions, and allows for deeper and more comprehensive coverage of regional and international issues, stressing that this diversity represents one of the most important elements of the summit’s strength and continuity.

Regarding the organizational and financial aspects, she explained that the summit enjoys continuous support from the UAE government and leading media institutions, ensuring the provision of the necessary resources to organize the accompanying events and forums, in addition to opening broader horizons for sponsorship opportunities and partnerships with international media companies, noting that the focus on developing local competencies also contributes to reducing reliance on external expertise in the long term.

Regarding the potential challenges, she stressed that the working team takes into account regional and international variables, and they are dealt with by diversifying participants, enhancing dialogue, and ensuring flexibility of programs, in addition to advance planning to integrate the new forums within the summit in an integrated manner that ensures successful implementation and achieving the desired goals.

Mona Al Marri concluded her statements by referring to the next steps, which include organizing a social media forum led by Maryam, Director of the Dubai Press Club, and enhancing cooperation with universities and media academies, in addition to continuing coordination with international media institutions to organize specialized events on the sidelines of the summit, and launching advanced training programs to support young media talents and enable them to play an active role in the media industry of the future.
