"Data Centers safe" Announces the launch of the NexOps platform to enhance the efficiency of digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence

Abu Dhabi, 9 February / WAM / Khazna Data Centers “Khazna”, the global provider of large-scale digital infrastructure, today announced the launch of Khazna NexOps, a specialized internal operating organization, designed to deliver a new standard of consistency, responsiveness and operational excellence for large-scale infrastructure and infrastructure ready for the era of artificial intelligence.

With this launch, Khazna has moved from a vendor-based operating model to in-house operating capabilities across more than 30 data centers.

In less than 12 months, the NexOps vault team has expanded from 20 to over 230 specialists.

Bart Holsters, General Manager of NexOps Vault, said: “Operations cannot be taken for granted in a world where even minutes of downtime are difficult to tolerate. The launch of NexOps Vault is a thoughtful investment in accountability, capabilities and customer experience. By moving operations in-house, we can execute operations more consistently and make faster decisions through a service model designed to meet the requirements of the most critical large-scale operating environments.”

Khazna NexOps was created to standardize performance and integrate measurable quality controls into Khazna’s growing portfolio.

A structured capabilities model defines operating layers across recruitment, operations, key performance indicators and governance, and will be implemented through a phased rollout and phased digitization throughout 2026.

Khazna has developed more than 5,000 operating files to support repeatable, audit-ready practices across sites, and has implemented a “competency-linked execution” approach, where training, certification, and skills assessment are directly linked to the assignment of work orders, ensuring that critical tasks are carried out exclusively by certified and qualified personnel.

Holsters added: We view this approach as a new operating system for reliability, and in collaboration with global leaders in operations, learning and technology, we have laid the foundations that enable our teams to execute consistently across every site, and this is what customers ultimately see, through predictable performance, faster response, and more precise control of risks, ensuring our customers are fully prepared for artificial intelligence applications.

As part of the launch of Khazna NexOps, advanced automation systems were integrated into Khazna’s daily operations.

In cooperation with BriSight, Khazna is working on implementing an advanced command and control platform powered by artificial intelligence to manage its growing portfolio of data centers.

Operated through a secure, advanced artificial intelligence center in Abu Dhabi, the platform uses artificial intelligence to monitor power, cooling, equipment performance and security, predict problems before they occur, and improve operations around the clock.

In collaboration with AlphaGeo, Khazanah has integrated climate intelligence into the core of its operations, and by integrating physical climate projections, infrastructure resilience, and socio-economic indicators, the team obtains real-time data that supports long-term design decisions and operational risk management.

Khazna also conducted experiments on robotic patrol units that support inspection tours, and can help monitor cases of non-compliance or abnormal indicators such as thermal signatures, leaks, vibrations and other early signals within controlled site environments.

Since the establishment of the Khazna NexOps team, Khazna has achieved a number of measurable improvements across key indicators, including: performance in the field of safety, as accident rates decreased, including the recurrence rate of lost-time injuries and the total recordable injury rate reaching zero, and exceeding 2 million working hours during the past year without loss-of-time injuries, energy efficiency, and an additional improvement in the energy efficiency standard by about 2.3% compared to the originally ambitious baselines, despite the difficult regional climatic conditions. And operational readiness and consistency, as it witnessed an improvement in training completion rates and compliance results, through the implementation of efficiency-related tasks and the standardization of work practices.

Hassan Al-Naqbi, CEO of Khazna Data Centers, said: At a time when artificial intelligence workloads are accelerating and computing densities are increasing, Khazna NexOps supports our broader mission to deliver a flexible, efficient, and future-ready digital infrastructure. By moving operation in-house, we will enhance the overall accountability of all parties, improve the customer experience, and expand the scope of operational excellence to support our accelerated expansion.
