Mohammed bin Zayed and Al-Sisi stress the importance of promoting peace in the region to achieve prosperity for its people

Today, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, discussed with his brother Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, fraternal relations, various aspects of cooperation and joint work between the two countries, and opportunities to enhance them, especially in the development and economic fields, in a way that serves their common interests.

This came while His Highness received President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in Abu Dhabi, who is on a fraternal visit to the country.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed a number of regional and international issues of common interest, most notably developments in the Middle East region and the efforts made towards them. In this context, His Highness the President and the Egyptian President stressed the importance of moving forward with the implementation of a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and allowing sufficient humanitarian aid to enter the Strip without obstacles to alleviate the suffering of its residents, in addition to the importance of pushing towards a just and comprehensive peace path in the region that is based on the “two-state solution” to ensure regional security and stability.

His Highness and the Egyptian President also affirmed their keenness to continue fraternal consultation and joint coordination for the good of the two countries and their brotherly peoples, stressing the importance of working to strengthen the causes of peace in the region in a way that contributes to maintaining its security and stability and achieving development and prosperity for its peoples.

The Egyptian President, accompanied by His Highness the President of the State, visited the Mohammed bin Zayed University for Artificial Intelligence, and during a tour of the university’s facilities and departments, he was briefed on its system of academic programs and its qualitative innovations in the field of advanced technology and artificial intelligence, which contribute to supporting the UAE’s goals and development vision, in addition to its ambitious future aspirations to strengthen its position as a global center in this field.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi left the country at the end of his visit, where His Highness the President was at the forefront of his farewells at the presidential airport in Abu Dhabi.

Also at his farewell were His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Special Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor to His Highness the President of the State, and a number of ministers and senior state officials.
