Integrating electronic games into the education system

The signing of the memorandums of understanding comes within the trend towards integrating the industry and development of electronic games into General and university education system, technical and vocational training, developing curricula, programs and training initiatives, creating innovative professional paths that serve the quality of education and support future skills, launching educational initiatives and competitions, in addition to focusing on developing students’ and teachers’ skills and national capabilities, and enabling them to benefit from modern technical solutions, artificial intelligence and educational simulation.

The areas of cooperation between the Ministry of Education and the Savi Electronic Games Group are based on including electronic games in the curricula, in coordination with the National Curriculum Center, and designing and implementing a national competition for the manufacture and development of games. Electronic games, and the preparation of qualified national cadres in this field through the paths of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program and the “Wa’ed” path, in addition to professional development for teachers in this specialty in coordination with the National Institute for Educational Professional Development, the accreditation of the Savi Academy for Electronic Games within the strategic partnership institutes of the General Corporation for Technical and Vocational Training, the development of educational games on the “Madrasati” platform, and the establishment of the Savi Games and Innovation Laboratory.

Developing teachers’ capabilities

The areas of cooperation between the National Institute for Educational Professional Development and the group include SAVI develops teachers’ capabilities and enables them to adopt innovative teaching methods, prepare approved training courses in the fields of games and measure their impact, and create initiatives that develop teachers’ skills in artificial intelligence, in addition to organizing workshops, forums and events specialized in game-based education.

The memorandum of understanding between Tatweer Educational Services Company and the SAVI Group includes cooperation in developing interactive educational content based on game elements, providing educational digital solutions based on electronic gaming and simulation technologies, building digital educational laboratories, and creating programs. And school activities in the field of electronic sports, and the production of specialized educational games.
