المملكة: 120 student projects turned into realistic medical solutions at the Sharqia Innovation Forum
It was launched today, Monday, with Imam Abdul Rahman bin Faisal University The first edition of the “Medical Research and Innovations Forum”, recording wide participation with more than 120 student projects, and 10 speakers competing in oral presentations, to link academic outputs to the labor market.
The President of Imam Abdul Rahman bin Faisal University, Professor Dr. Fahd Al-Harbi, inaugurated the activities of the “AMRI Forum 2026” The accompanying gallery is at Deanship Building Support “D3”.
The first edition witnessed intense scientific activity, as the Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Dr. Saad Al-Saadi, revealed that more than 120 male and female students had submitted their research and innovative projects to compete in the forum.
The scientific committees classified the entries into two main tracks, where 10 speakers were chosen to present their projects through “oral presentations.” “Presentations” in front of the audience and the jury.
Activities that enrich scientific research
The accompanying exhibition included a display of 40 scientific posters “Posters” For the most prominent research selected, with the aim of highlighting the products of distinguished students and the inventions presented by faculty members.
Dr. Al-Saadi explained that the fundamental goal of the forum is to bring together academics, researchers, and innovators, to enrich the culture of scientific research among students in line with the university’s strategic plan.
The forum, which bears the slogan “Where disciplines meet: shaping the future of health care,” focused on involving the private sector and the industrial field in the development process and training students.
The event attracted expert speakers from inside and outside the university to enrich the discussions, in addition to holding specialized workshops to develop the innovation and scientific research skills of the participants.
