Mansour bin Zayed approves changing the name of the “Zayed Humanitarian Foundation” to the “Zayed Al Khair Foundation”

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Cabinet, approved changing the name of the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works, “one of the entities of the Zayed Humanitarian Legacy Foundation”, to become the new name “Zayed Al-Khair Foundation”, headed by His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan as Vice President.
The new name consolidates the message of humanitarian giving, the foundations of which were laid by the founding father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul,” and expresses the essence of the humanitarian message that was launched 33 years ago, when the name of Sheikh Zayed, “may God rest his soul,” was globally associated with goodness, giving, and humanitarian work without limits, in support of his immortal saying: “The rich must help the poor, and God Almighty has given us this wealth to develop our country, and at the same time To contribute to the development of other countries.”
In this context, His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Zayed Al Khair Foundation, appreciated the great and continuous support given by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” to strengthen the process of charitable and humanitarian work, in addition to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Office, and the supervision of His Highness Sheikh Dhiyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy President of the Presidential Office. The Presidency for Development Affairs and the Families of Martyrs, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Humanitarian Legacy Foundation, based on their Highnesses’ belief in the lofty message of giving and its profound impact in serving people and preserving their dignity, pointing out that re-changing the name of the Foundation embodies the essence of its humanitarian mission, and reflects its commitment to continuing the process of giving and giving, in a way that consolidates the values and approach of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul.”
For his part, His Highness Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Zayed Al Khair Foundation, praised the directives of the wise leadership and its tireless efforts to consolidate the sustainable giving approach and maximize the positive impact on the beneficiary communities, stressing that the support and interest that charitable and humanitarian work in the UAE receives from our wise leadership reflects a firm commitment to the responsible giving approach, and confirms the leadership’s keenness to enhance the country’s humanitarian role at the regional and international levels.
His Highness pointed out the importance of the qualitative shift in the institution’s path, which contributes to enhancing the efficiency of performance, integrating efforts, and achieving the highest levels of humanitarian impact in accordance with international best practices, keeping pace with the aspirations of the next stage, and enhancing the effectiveness of its humanitarian and development roles at the regional and international levels.
In turn, the Director General of the Zayed Al Khair Foundation, Dr. Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to the wise leadership for its continued interest in developing the performance of the charitable and humanitarian work system, and its constant support in order to enhance the efficiency of charitable institutions and the sustainability of their impact, under the supervision of His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Office for Development Affairs and Families of Martyrs and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Humanitarian Legacy Foundation, noting that changing the name of the Foundation comes Within the framework of the strategic directions aimed at developing the Foundation’s performance and enhancing the effectiveness of charitable and humanitarian work, in a way that keeps pace with changes and serves the noble mission for which it was established, the Foundation will continue the approach of giving inspired by the legacy of the founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul,” towards maximizing the humanitarian impact of initiatives and projects in line with the UAE’s vision of humanitarian leadership and sustainable charitable work.
It is worth noting that the Zayed Al Khair Foundation continues to work to achieve humanitarian, charitable and development goals in the field of supporting food and water security, sustainable growth of agricultural and livestock wealth, and implementing humanitarian, charitable and development programmes, projects and initiatives regionally and internationally, in addition to providing aid and relief to those affected in a way that ensures an immediate response to emergency humanitarian situations in accordance with the directives of the wise leadership.
